About The Position

Embark on a journey with QDSS at the forefront of technological innovation as we seek talented Engineers to shape the future of cutting-edge projects and contribute to a culture of excellence and creativity. What we do matters. We’re hiring a PCB Design Engineer to develop high-reliability circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and printed circuit boards (PCBs) for advanced aerospace and defense systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to take designs from schematic capture through layout, routing, and manufacturing release. You’ll play a key role in delivering complex rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCB designs, making this an ideal opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on layout work, solving signal and manufacturability challenges, and working on mission-critical hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 5+ years of experience in PCB design, layout, or hardware development
  • Experience with PCB/CCA design and manufacturing principles
  • Hands-on experience with layout of rigid, flex, or rigid-flex boards
  • Active Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition (Mentor Graphics) tool suite
  • Experience with BluePrint-PCB for documentation
  • Strong skills in schematic capture, routing, constraint management, and libraries
  • Experience with Gerber/ODB++ outputs and manufacturing release processes
  • Familiarity with DFM tools (Valor NPI, DRC tools)
  • Experience with RF PCB layout and high-speed design considerations
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PCB layouts and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) from concept through manufacturing
  • Perform schematic capture, component placement, routing, and constraint management
  • Generate manufacturing outputs (Gerber, ODB++) and detailed PCB documentation
  • Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex boards for high-reliability applications
  • Use tools such as Siemens Xpedition and BluePrint-PCB
  • Support design updates, re-spins, ECOs, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Apply design rules, signal integrity considerations, and production requirements

Benefits

  • Competitive pay
  • comprehensive medical/dental/life and disability coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • professional development support
  • a flexible, friendly workplace
