About The Position

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is offering a scholarship program for aspiring Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs). This program provides financial support for education and hands-on work experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) within the hospital environment. Participants will receive mentorship and support from healthcare professionals throughout the program, assisting with coursework and career development.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to perform tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues using Universal Precautions.
Ability to stand for up to 1/3 of the time.
Ability to walk for up to 1/3 of the time.
Ability to sit for 2/3 or more of the time.
Ability to talk or hear for 2/3 or more of the time.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel for up to 1/3 of the time.
Ability to reach with hands and arms for up to 1/3 of the time.
Ability to lift or exert force up to 10 pounds for 2/3 or more of the time.
Ability to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds for 1/3 to 1/2 of the time.
Ability to lift or exert force up to 50 pounds for up to 1/3 of the time.
Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Requires color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Requires ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
Ability to hear calls.
Ability to hear instructions from physician/department staff/others.
