About The Position
The PCA to LNA Scholarship Program at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is an initiative to invest in future healthcare professionals. This program offers financial support for education to become a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) and provides hands-on work experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) within the hospital before formal education begins. Participants will receive mentorship and support from experienced healthcare professionals throughout the program to aid in their success.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues using Universal Precautions.
- Ability to hear calls.
- Ability to hear instructions from physician/department staff/others.
Responsibilities
- Work within the hospital environment as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) before starting formal education.
- Gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting.
- Learn from experienced professionals.
- Acclimate to the day-to-day responsibilities of an LNA.
- Receive mentorship and support throughout the program.
