About The Position

Homestead Village is seeking a highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to work in our Personal Care Memory Support Household with a focus on facilitating Life Enrichment/Activities. This role involves establishing respectful, warm relationships with residents, assisting them with daily living, participating in their support plan development, facilitating recreational activities, assisting with dining and light meal preparations, collecting data such as vital signs, performing housekeeping and laundry duties, observing and reporting changes in resident condition, attending staff meetings, completing monthly education, adhering to policies and regulations, and documenting interventions. The position is full-time, working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday, with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience with Life Enrichment
CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified.
Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.
Demonstrate flexibility.

Responsibilities

Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents.
Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed.
Participate in development of residents' Support Plan.
Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated.
Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned.
Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
