About The Position

Homestead Village is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to work in their Personal Care Memory Support Household. This role focuses on facilitating Life Enrichment/Activities for 13 residents. The community is a non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience with Life Enrichment
CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified.
Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.
Demonstrate flexibility.
Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program

Responsibilities

Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents.
Assist residents with all activities of daily living as needed.
Participate in the development of residents' Support Plan.
Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated.
Perform housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned.
Observe clients and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
