This is a temporary, one-week, assignment, with one of Arctiq's clients located in Orange, NJ. The work will be performed for one week during the month of September with the date TBD. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable with local travel to multiple sites. Position Summary We are seeking a PC Technician to provide onsite IT support across multiple locations in the Greater Orange, NJ area. This role will focus on workstation and printer setup, basic troubleshooting, and IT equipment inventory. Local travel will be involved.

Requirements

  • At least 1–2 years of IT support, desktop support, help desk, or PC Technician experience.
  • Hands-on experience with PC/workstation and printer setup.
  • Basic Windows hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between multiple school locations.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable with local travel to multiple sites.

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Travel between assigned locations to provide onsite IT connections.
  • Set up and configure PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, workstation, and printer issues.
  • Assist with equipment moves, replacements, and installations.
  • Capture and maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
  • Document work performed and escalate more complex issues as needed.
  • Provide professional and responsive support to staff.
