About The Position

Seeking a Power & Performance Tester to support an initiative focused on improving software guidance and ensuring optimal battery performance across clients’ PC platforms. The role validates software releases, identifies potential effects on power consumption, and helps maintain the performance and reliability standards expected by clients.

This is a contract position based in Spring, Texas, with a hybrid workplace. The pay range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Individual compensation depends on factors including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of PC hardware, system behavior, and performance characteristics, potentially gained through PC building, gaming, or enthusiast-level tinkering.
• Ability to audit software releases, identify battery-life or performance anomalies, run crosschecks, and investigate beyond basic checklists.
• Critical thinking and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate findings and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Audit new software builds, verify stability, and support readiness for scheduled shipment deadlines.
• Test for software-related factors that could negatively affect battery life or overall power performance.
• Assess how upcoming software solutions from the TIO team may affect device power behavior.
• Crosscheck new software integrations to identify conflicts with existing system components or performance degradation.
