About The Position

As the PC Specialist, you will serve as a vital, hands-on technical anchor on-site at our Seneca, SC distribution center, reporting directly to the Client Systems Support Manager. In this highly active role, you will walk the warehouse floor to provide critical Tier 1 hardware and software installation, maintenance, and rapid break-fix repair to keep our high-volume logistics operations running seamlessly. Your time will be dynamically split between maintaining specialized warehouse equipment—specifically Zebra label printers and RFID handheld scanners (60%)—and supporting desktop PCs, connectivity, and telephony systems (40%). By managing the daily incident ticketing queue each morning, collaborating with System Administrators on facility upgrades, and maintaining meticulous asset and e-waste records, you will directly prevent operational downtime. To succeed, you must be a highly reliable, quick-learning team player who remains resilient under pressure, possesses the physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and can comfortably commit to a standard Monday through Friday shift schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of proven, on-premise technical support experience focusing on hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and break-fix workflows.
  • Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing Zebra Label Printers and RFID handheld scanners.
  • Absolute reliability and commitment to working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Ability to move around easily, walk frequently across an expansive warehouse environment, and safely lift or move computer/peripheral equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, strong multitasking abilities, and crisp people/communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate Degree in a technical field or active certifications such as CompTIA A+ and/or MCDST.
  • Experience utilizing enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Remedy, SolarWinds) and hands-on familiarity supporting Dell computer systems.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse operations workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical logistics equipment. This role is highly active, with 60% of your time dedicated to Zebra label printers and RFID handheld scanners, and 40% focused on desktop PCs and connectivity.
  • Actively walk the warehouse floor to provide immediate, face-to-face technical assistance to personnel, ensuring proper operational efficiency of all systems.
  • Install, de-install, configure, and upgrade computers, software applications, and peripheral equipment. Maintain an accurate inventory of computer hardware, parts, and maintenance/repair records, while preparing legacy equipment for proper e-waste recycling.
  • Monitor and manage the local ticketing queue first thing every morning, prioritizing and resolving critical hardware and software incidents ASAP to prevent operational downtime.
  • Perform routine account unlocks and basic troubleshooting workflows using internal platforms like WMOS. Coordinate occasionally with external vendors, the Telecomm team to support telephone equipment, and System Administrators to assist with server equipment changes.
  • Work reliably within a Monday through Friday work schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
