About The Position

This internship opportunity offers a fun, challenging, and real-world experience focused on learning about the organization and how it assists field leadership. The intern will gain hands-on experience with tools and resources used to support the Agency Force and field team members. The program follows an 80/10/10 approach: 80% meaningful work and project-based assignments, 10% learning from and networking with employees in other areas, and 10% participating in shared internship experiences about the company culture, leadership, and business operations.

Requirements

  • Current college student (Junior or Senior status preferred).
  • Passion for learning new things and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communicator, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in-person from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa part-time during spring 2027 and full-time (38.75 hours/week) during summer 2027.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
  • Not considering candidates needing any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project coordination support for PC Sales, PC Growth, Book Transfer, Succession Planning, and related initiatives by tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Support book transfer and succession planning activities through documentation support, assessment coordination, agreement tracking, and transition administration.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting on book assignments, including milestones, risks, issues, and outcomes, and help prepare summaries and basic dashboards.
  • Maintain shared tools, documentation, and process resources used to support book transfers and sales initiatives, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Support communication efforts by drafting updates, preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, and capturing notes and action items.
  • Assist with data collection, basic analysis, and presentation support related to PC Sales performance, growth initiatives, and book transfer results.
  • Help track resource needs and task completion by coordinating with consultants, leadership, and support partners involved in book transfers and sales initiatives.
  • Participate in onsite support activities as needed, including potential travel to agent offices with Health Services teams and Book Transition Support Consultants to assist with transition and support efforts.
  • Provide general operational and administrative support to help manage changing priorities, workload fluctuations, and special projects.
