About The Position

The PC&L Supervisor ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures, emphasizing safety. This role manages day-to-day operations including on-time delivery of components, warehouse replenishment, and returnable container management. The supervisor will optimize warehouse manning in conjunction with shipping/receiving schedules, production requirements, customer demands, and vacation scheduling. A key responsibility is effectively accessing and navigating customer portals to obtain shipping and tracking information for inclusion in advance shipping notices within the ERP system. The role also involves utilizing customer web portals to arrange shipments, secure transportation, and ensure compliance with customer routing requirements. Maintaining and managing customer-specific dock codes and routing changes in customer partner’s portals, ensuring shipping instructions are accurately reflected in the ERP system, is crucial. The supervisor will manage the reporting, tracking, repair scheduling, and disposition of customer-owned returnable containers through customer portal systems. Ensuring standardized work is followed by all team members, including daily standardized work, audits, and check sheets, is essential. The role requires leading, coaching, and disciplining team members as needed. Tracking performance metrics daily and driving continuous improvement to achieve zero safety incidents, 99% inventory accuracy, and on-time tugger delivery is expected. Responding to warehouse/material audit findings, maintaining accurate inventory records, performing daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts, and making improvements are also key duties. The supervisor will manage real-time receiving and stocking of purchased parts in the warehouse, ensuring all shipment discrepancies are addressed. Participation in new program launches and timely filing of all carrier damage notice of claims are required. Maintaining warehouse layouts relative to material and facilitating training of all lift truck drivers, maintaining training records, and scheduling recertification training are also part of the role. Monitoring and maintaining all records for daily lift truck checks and initiating and supporting Continuous Improvement activities are expected.

Requirements

  • Compute skills: Word, Excel, ERP software (PLEX and SAP)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be a hands on person, willing to work on the manufacturing floor

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing plant experience
  • Prior material handling and warehouse or distribution center experience
  • Experience using ERP systems, eg. SAP and PLEX
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred, does not have to be current)
