This is a vital and hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to our three offices across Canada. The PC&E Business Partner, Labour Relations leads the daily functions of the PC&E department including but not limited to: recruitment, administering benefits, managing leaves, and enforcing organization policies and procedures in addition to creating and maintaining strong working relationships with all members of staff. Operating within a unionized environment, the Business Partner plays a key role in labour relations, supporting collective agreement interpretation, grievance resolution, and collaborative union-management engagement. The role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, labour law compliance, and positive labour relations strategies to uphold a fair and supportive work environment. The role contributes to PC&E strategy and supports training initiatives with the Manager. The Business Partner also contributes to and leads specific processes in performance management and recruiting in conjunction with other team members. The PC&E Business Partner, Labour Relations carries out and has input into DSF’s people initiatives and engages in building culture, providing great internal employee support, and driving HR excellence and process improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices across multiple provinces (Ontario, Québec, and British Columbia), as well as Knowledge in employment law, expertise in employee relations, and collective bargaining environments.
