About The Position

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) is seeking a Project Based Voucher (PBV) Rental Assistance Specialist for its PBV Program. This program provides rental assistance by linking federal subsidies to specific housing units for eligible families. The goal is to enhance access to affordable housing by collaborating with property owners to set aside units for low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. The position requires the candidate to reside within a 200-mile radius of the Nashville, TN office. After initial in-office training, on-site presence is required twice a month and as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Two or more years of experience in a federal, state or local housing program, other social services or subsidized housing program.
• Must live within a 200-mile radius of the Nashville, TN office.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or Project-Based Voucher.
• Experience working with the hard-to-house populations, including participants served through HCV special purpose voucher programs.
