The Payroll Tax Specialist position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, payment, and filing of a high volume of Federal, State, Local, and other required payroll tax liabilities for US Payroll. This role involves preparing, reviewing, and reconciling payroll tax filings and supporting reports, managing correspondence, researching and responding to tax notices, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining internal payroll tax accounts. The specialist will also monitor changes in payroll tax laws, administer online agency access, and collaborate with various internal teams to resolve tax-related issues. Additionally, the role supports year-end processing, identifies process improvements, and performs other duties as assigned.
