Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us. Position Summary This position be responsible for managing payroll tax funding, 3-way match reconciliations, and Service Now cases. This individual will also be responsible for processing off-cycle adjustments in the payroll system, generating W2C forms, reconciling Canada taxes, opening/closing tax accounts and filing tax returns. This individual will also assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Payroll Tax experience
  • Minimum of 2 years Payroll relevant business experience
  • Minimum of 1 year working with Canada Payroll Taxes required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Must know VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with all 50 states income taxes preferred
  • Experience working with Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Ohio local taxes preferred
  • Experience with SAP Payroll a plus
  • Experience working in a case management tool preferred
  • Experience working in a shared services environment preferred
  • Experience working in multi country environment preferred
  • Knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance preferred
  • College Degree in a Business-related field preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the resolution of Payroll Tax cases within the required SLA time frame
  • Make any updates needed to SAP due to issues raised in Service Now cases
  • Prepare Payroll Tax 3-way match within agreed upon SLA time frame
  • Complete Payroll Tax funding
  • Complete Power of attorney (POA) documents
  • Manage verification of SUI rates
  • File Canada tax returns (i.e. Quebec and Workers Compensation)
  • Ensure Canada Workers Compensation tax payments are made timely
  • Complete Canada Quarterly Recon (Payments to CRA vs PD7A)
  • Review and correct payroll tax erorrs in SAP
  • Review and correct exception errors in ADP Smart Compliance
  • Research GL variances for Canada Payroll Taxes
  • Ensure compliance to tax regulations for Canada, US and Puerto Rico
  • Liaison between BMS and its outsourced tax providers
  • Provide documentation requested for internal and external audits as needed
  • Special Projects as needed
