About The Position

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processes for our clubs across three states. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution. The Payroll Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the payroll function to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance. This role supports payroll reporting and analytics, benefits invoicing, recordkeeping, and day-to-day clerical duties. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is REQUIRED for this role. (Excel skills will be used daily for reporting, reconciliation, analytics, and dashboards.)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of payroll or HR administrative experience
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify timecards, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy
  • Enter payroll adjustments, bonuses, and commissions as needed
  • Support payroll audits and reconciliation efforts
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
  • Communicate with Operations Managers at multiple properties
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc payroll reports
  • Assist with payroll data analysis, trend tracking, and metrics reporting
  • Maintain payroll dashboards and summary reports for leadership
  • Assist in reconciling monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with benefit premium tracking and vendor payments
  • Assist in preparing documentation for plan audits and regulatory filings
  • Scan, file, and organize payroll and benefits documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform data entry, document scanning, filing, and record maintenance
  • Prepare payroll-related correspondence and communications
  • Track deadlines and maintain compliance calendars
  • Provide general administrative support to HR
  • Communicate with Operations Managers at multiple properties
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
