Requirements

  • Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by two (2) years of payroll experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English Language.

Responsibilities

  • Assist departments and employees with time tracking questions as needed.
  • Review time tracking county-wide to ensure accuracy of data entered.
  • Reconciles monthly benefit billings and HR of changes to employee coverages as needed.
  • Reconciles law enforcement entity billings and submits for monthly or quarterly reimbursement.
  • Serves as backup for other payroll sections providing support for workers compensation, mid- and end-of-month payroll reports and year-end reports.
  • Assists employees with payroll questions and concerns and aids with any necessary changes that affects pay.
  • Maintains payroll documents filed and archived according to state retention codes.
  • Performs related work as required.
