About The Position

DNV is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their GSS HR payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll processes run smoothly and accurately across North America. Your attention to detail will be crucial in reviewing payroll records, identifying inconsistencies, and confirming the correct and timely completion of all transactions. Your analytical and payroll expertise will support compliance and drive continuous improvement in payroll management. As part of a global team, you will contribute to delivering outstanding payroll services, impacting employee satisfaction and upholding DNV's reputation for quality and innovation. You will collaborate with HR and Finance to streamline operations, resolve discrepancies, manage multiple tasks precisely, and contribute to the enhancement of payroll policies and procedures in line with current regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years payroll experience
  • Experience managing payroll for 600+ employees
  • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and other enterprise-level systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas)
  • Resourceful, adaptable and collaborative team player
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
  • Knowledge of ADP WFN and Oracle products
  • Canadian payroll experience
  • Experience with multi-entity payroll

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all payroll-related information.
