About The Position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processing, payroll audits, system updates, document/file review, and verification that is required. General Responsibilities Participates in processing the payroll with speed and accuracy Audits employee record and reconciles totals by department / location / country etc. Assists with policy interpretation to ensure appropriate amounts or deductions are calculated and applied to any necessary amounts Participate in the verification of compliance to all local, state, and federal policies / laws and requirements Assists with any internal audits, workers compensation situations, tax filing and other related documentation

Requirements

  • A university degree (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
  • 3+ years of SAP/ADP Payroll system experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the differences between exempt and non-exempt payroll practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday HRM system experience preferred.
  • eTime and/or Workforce Manager, time and attendance systems experience preferred.
