Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification required.
Familiarity with special pays (commissions, bonuses) and multi-state payroll.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and garnishment regulations.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
High level of independence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with UKG Ready highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Process corporate payroll weekly and bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy.
Maintain payroll records in compliance with record retention laws.
Audit and reconcile files from UKG Ready each pay period and annually.
Address payroll inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
Track accrued time off per company policies.
Manage wage garnishments, including child support and tax levies.
Ensure payroll registration and state tax setup for out-of-state payrolls.
Prepare and submit payroll reports for government agencies and internal stakeholders.
Update and maintain employee information in the HRB system.
Apply payroll actions in compliance with applicable laws.
Drive continuous improvement in payroll and timekeeping processes.
Document payroll practices and procedures for a payroll desk manual.
