About The Position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll duties and administration of all aspects of employment leave for Highgate Hotels. The role processes payroll for multiple properties, administers garnishments and payment reversals, researches payroll-related issues, and handles additional administrative duties. The specialist is expected to contribute to a positive team environment while maintaining confidentiality and trustworthiness.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.
Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
Extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
A sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Dayforce payroll systems.

Responsibilities

Process payrolls for multiple properties.
Administer garnishments and track all returned or stopped garnishment payments.
Process live check reversals and direct deposit reversals, tracking them through to completion.
Research payroll and payroll-related items with little direction and present findings to the group.
Understand basic payroll tax as it relates to employee pay and W-2 forms.
Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Contribute to a positive team environment.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and be trustworthy.
