About The Position

Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of a Payroll Specialist. Performs tasks to maintain employee records and pay employees. Duties include the checking and auditing of timecards for compliance, reviewing new hire information as it relates to payroll into accounting and payroll systems, posting changes in pay and tax status, processing routine labor and payrolls for the company’s weekly, and bi-weekly multi-state payrolls. Removing terminated employees from systems. Download standard payroll reports and run custom reports as required.

  • Associate degree or 2-3 years of payroll processing experience
  • Ability to pass an employment background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense a plus
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)
  • Previous government contracting experience
  • ADP Time and Attendance experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper on-boarding of new hires and off-boarding of terminations as it relates to payroll
  • Make changes to employees’ records as requested, i.e. taxes, direct deposit, etc.
  • Review and audit timekeeping records for compliance
  • Load Deltek T&E and ADP timecard data into Costpoint Accounting labor batch and reconcile
  • Add additional earnings/allowances in Costpoint as needed
  • Load Labor file from Costpoint into ADP to process Payroll and make adjustments as necessary
  • Process immediate pays for terminated employees as necessary
  • Download and store post ADP payroll reports as needed
  • Prepare and post payroll reports such as 401k spreadsheets, net check reports as needed
  • Respond to employees' questions regarding timesheet or pay
  • Process/adjust leave accruals in Costpoint
  • Other duties as assigned
