About The Position

The Payroll Specialist processes all aspects of biweekly payroll with accuracy and compliance. This role serves as the main contact for managers and hourly associates, resolving pay issues, issuing instant checks, and maintaining data integrity. Responsibilities include loading money card data, interpreting union contracts to ensure proper payroll practices, and supporting time clock troubleshooting with the Payroll Manager.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/education.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience or experience in related fields like accounting, HR, etc.
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of UltiPro is not mandatory but preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all facets of payroll processing for specific pay groups, ensuring accurate and precise execution.
  • Ensure the correctness and consistency of payroll data to prevent errors.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from Managers and Hourly Associates regarding pay-related concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage instant payroll checks to rectify any discrepancies, if necessary.
  • Reconcile pre confirm and post confirm payroll data.
  • Assist in assigning time clocks to the employees.
  • Ability to calculate pay rate adjustments based on factors such as time off, overtime, etc.
