Payroll Specialist
About The Position
A healthcare facility located near Virginia, Minnesota is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5(8s). The role involves processing end-to-end payroll, reconciling timecards, managing deductions, and maintaining accurate employee data within HRIS systems to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. The specialist will also stay current on payroll system updates and requirements, including federal and state regulations, forms, best practices, system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will provide payroll support to employees and leaders, including employment verifications and reporting requests.
Requirements
- 3 years of previous payroll experience required
- Experience creating, configuring, and maintaining payroll and HRIS systems is a must
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
