A company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll expertise, deep knowledge of California labor laws, and experience working with modern payroll systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws (required)
• Experience with payroll systems ( Paylocity preferred )
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws and payroll regulations
• Maintain payroll records, reporting, and reconciliations
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with HR and accounting to ensure accurate employee data and reporting
• Support process improvements and system efficiencies
