The Parking Spot’s is now hiring for a newly created Payroll Specialist role to join our Payroll team in Chicago! In this role, you’ll gain exposure to payroll, audits, and reconciliation processes for an organization with 2,000+ employees in a multistate environment.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience processing payroll with an hourly workforce
  • At least 1 year of experience with UKG Pro and Workforce Management
  • Detail-oriented with respect to payroll and HR data
  • Organized individual with strong follow-through skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to help a large employee base
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a busy environment

Responsibilities

  • Process and issue weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate updates, adjustments and compliance with internal policies
  • Review and audit payroll data in UKG, investigate discrepancies, calculate retroactive payments, and coordinate with management to resolve issues
  • Audit and approve timecard changes in the Workforce Management system; monitor timesheet and leave request status, and follow up on missing or unapproved entries
  • Generate payroll reports, conduct regular data audits, and support internal and external reporting needs
  • Responsible for post-payroll duties including but not limited to, assembling the general ledger report, storing payroll registers and communicating with Controller and Finance partners
  • Manage the payroll inbox by responding to administrative tasks and requests including resetting passwords, reviewing the accuracy of all data and deductions, and ensuring proper
  • Manage uncashed check and rapid pay card processes
