About The Position

Under general supervision, responsible for accurate and timely completion of payroll processing tasks for the domestic payroll for all business units via Workday Payroll system, including processing pay calculations, generating reports, reconciliations, and responding to inquiries related to payroll or human resources information.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant and progressive Workday Payroll processing experience in a high volume, multi-state/multi-company entity
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax withholding laws and regulations
  • Strong process execution and advanced analytical skills for process support and reconciliations
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • CPP or FPC designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state US payroll in Workday system for 2500+ employees in 40+ states
  • Process bi-weekly Canadian and monthly Expat payroll
  • Thoroughly audit payroll register and other reports to identify corrections prior to confirming the payroll
  • Respond to employee inquiries, by either directly answering questions, resolving issues, or directing to the appropriate person
  • Process off-cycle payments which includes but not limited to manual checks, bonus payments and fringe benefits
  • Maintain multi-state payroll and employee records according to company and government regulations through Workday
  • Provide efficient, accurate, quality service to internal and external clients, including employees, service bureaus and taxing authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws, including final pay and overtime laws.
  • Support the year end payroll process
  • Process and manage all wage garnishments
  • Prepare all pay period reports in compliance with audit procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
