About The Position

Processes and records the Agency’s payroll timely and accurately. Duties include responding to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters, providing procedural instruction regarding payroll and timekeeping, entering and processing employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards, and processing payroll transactions accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to payroll
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check the meets agency standards.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computerized timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Resolves Payroll problems and exceptions in timely fashion.
  • Understanding of Goodwill NNE policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UKG or similar Payroll Systems

Responsibilities

  • Responds to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters.

  • Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely.
  • Maintains Agency payroll information in HRIS database.
  • Prepares reporting for employees, managers, vendors and tax agencies when necessary.
  • Develops ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Conducts Payroll training for managers.
