About The Position

Allstar Services is growing rapidly across multiple brands and markets, which means our payroll operations must be accurate, efficient, and scalable. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will support weekly payroll processing, employee data changes in iSolved, and reporting needs for Finance and HR. This role is on site in our Eden Prairie, MN (headquarters) office. This role is critical to ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across our national footprint. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of payroll experience; multi-state or multi-entity payroll strongly preferred.
  • Experience using iSolved (or similar HRIS/Payroll system).
  • Previous Administrator experience with time management systems
  • Strong understanding of wage & hour laws, overtime rules, and payroll compliance.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet tight weekly deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work onsite in Eden Prairie, MN

Nice To Haves

  • Background in construction piece rate processing preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll across multiple locations/brands in iSolved.
  • Act as backup to Senior Payroll Specialist
  • Review timecards, deductions, and hours for accuracy; follow up with managers on discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including overtime and pay adjustments.
  • Support off-cycle payments, new hire pay setups, and termination pay.
  • Verify PTO, sick leave, commission adjustments, and bonuses as needed.
  • Enter and maintain employee changes in iSolved, including compensation updates, job changes, terminations, and deductions.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure accurate onboarding/offboarding data flows into payroll.
  • Audit employee records regularly for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support benefit deduction audits.
  • Generate payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership as needed (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation between iSolved and accounting.
  • Support year-end activities including W-2 preparation and reporting.
  • Maintain confidential payroll records and adhere to all data privacy regulations.
