About The Position

Provides clerical, administrative and general office support for efficient department operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 year secretarial and/or office experience.
  • Experienced with time keeping.
  • Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
  • Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal).
  • Must also possess computer proficiency working with different office applications.
  • 40 WPM typing speed.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology where appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of Laborworks and Shiftwizard.

Responsibilities

  • Performs activities within established guidelines to support department operations.
  • Provides secretarial support to facilitate smooth operation of the department.
  • Uses a variety of computer software/applications as necessary to generate reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, presentations, and other pertinent documents or written materials.
  • Responds to a wide variety of calls and/or inquiries for purpose of providing information, resolving problems/issues where appropriate, and/or referring to appropriate staff members.
  • Attends meetings and other required functions for the purpose of recording minutes, coordinating materials distribution, and/or supporting the needs of other attendees.
  • Completes assigned goals.
  • Completes payroll, time keeping and ensures employee time is entered correctly.
  • Weekly enters information from the exception logs from assigned areas.
  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date records on attendance on all employees in assigned areas.
