About The Position

The Payroll Representative reports directly to the Payroll Accounting Supervisor and performs assigned payroll duties for multiple operating units. This role ensures that all payroll activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements while providing accurate, timely support to employees and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with spreadsheet and office application software.
  • Exposure to automated accounting and/or ERP systems, such as Oracle.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with company policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience preferred.
  • Associate degree (AA) preferred.
  • Experience working with payroll for multiple operating units.
  • Familiarity with internal control processes related to payroll and accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Process timecards and payroll for multiple operating units in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Review and resolve timecard and payroll discrepancies to ensure correct pay and compliance.
  • Review and reconcile payroll data to maintain accurate records and identify variances.
  • Prepare and record payroll journal entries in accordance with established accounting procedures.
  • Assist employees with timecard or payroll questions and issues, providing clear and professional support.
  • Assist with the processing of contingent worker invoices to ensure proper payment and documentation.
  • Adhere to company internal controls, policies, and procedures in all payroll and accounting activities.
