About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well‑established organization in the Washington, DC metro area to identify a Payroll Manager with strong Workday experience. This role supports a large, complex payroll environment and offers the opportunity to lead day‑to‑day payroll operations while improving processes and systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Hands‑on Workday Payroll experience required
• Strong knowledge of multi‑state payroll and compliance
• Experience supporting high‑volume or complex payroll environments
• Ability to work on‑site in the DC metro area

Responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end U.S. payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees
• Serve as the Workday Payroll subject‑matter expert
• Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance activities
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives
• Manage and mentor payroll staff as applicable
