About The Position
We are rapidly growing global organization seeking an experienced and hands on Payroll Manager to join our team. This individual will play a key role in managing payroll processes, support day-to-day payroll operations for US and globally. This position requires strong payroll operational knowledge, attention to detail and hands-on experience with Workday payroll configurations, testing, reporting and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in payroll.
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms; at least 2 years in Workday required, other systems a plus.
- Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Workday payroll and system enhancements.
- Experience with building customized Workday reports
- Strong knowledge of US payroll labor laws and payroll tax requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to details, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
Nice To Haves
- Some experience working with payroll vendors for international payroll preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review and audit payroll for accuracy and completeness, identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
- Manage internal and external audits relating to payroll
- Manage quarterly and year end payroll tax filings for US and handle compliance requirements
- Work with state agencies to resolve tax discrepancies
- Independently identify and recommend new procedures to streamline payroll operations, controls automation and efficiency.
- Support end-to-end payroll global payroll operations
- Co-ordinate with international payroll providers to validate payroll inputs, review payroll results, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion
- Maintaining payroll setup in Workday and support changes to earnings, deductions and payroll business processes
- Validate configuration changes, performing testing and supporting Workday releases
- Identify configuration issues, perform analysis and implement corrective actions
- Build customized payroll reports in Workday.
