This role will lead a broad set of financial responsibilities including assisting in the month end close process, reporting, and audits. Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience ideally gained in a public accounting/private industry or corporate setting OR An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Payroll Accounting.
  • Experience with monthly payroll process, preparing and posting complex journal entries, and completing account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly payroll process for RTX accounting ledger.
  • Preparing and posting complex journal entries.
  • Completing account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide reporting and support analysis to Finance leads across RTX business unit.
  • Assist with internal and external auditor requests.
  • Act as a resource for other Payroll Accounting team members to analyze and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  • Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU’s.
  • Focus on process improvement and alignment across Strategic Business Units (SBU’s) to drive accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cultivate a culture focused on controls and compliance with US GAAP, RTX Policy and U.S. government cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU’s.
