GD Roberts & Co., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable Payroll & HR Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will serve as a critical anchor for the team by ensuring biweekly payroll runs flawlessly while keeping core HR administrative workflows organized and compliant. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where data accuracy and confidentiality are paramount.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree Required with 2-3 years experience or 5-7 years proven experience in payroll/HR
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with extreme discretion.
  • Uncompromising data accuracy and sharp attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to independently prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Clear professional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous professional experience in payroll processing, human resources, accounting, or corporate administration.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity or similar enterprise HRIS/payroll platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.
  • Review and verify employee timecards, auditing regular hours, overtime, PTO, holiday, and bereavement time.
  • Reconcile payroll data following each processing period, verifying employer costs and resolving discrepancies between payroll records and benefit invoices.
  • Coordinate with Paylocity to resolve system inquiries, updates, or corrections.
  • Assist with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and payroll-related audits.
  • Monitor employee timekeeping records daily, correcting missed punches by collaborating directly with supervisors.
  • Maintain the company attendance points system in accordance with internal policies.
  • Maintain active personnel files (both digital and paper) with strict confidentiality.
  • Manage employee documentation, from updating compensation and job information to processing terminations and preparing final paychecks.
  • Support general HR projects, data requests, and administrative tasks as needed.
