Requirements

  • PCP designation (or working toward).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.
  • Experience with ADP preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • 3–5+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience with group benefits and pension administration.
  • Employees must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation industry experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Quantum) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process and support end-to-end Canadian and International Payroll (bi-weekly/monthly).
  • Compile, validate, and analyze payroll data for accuracy.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, balances, and general ledger entries.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with CRA, EI, CPP, and applicable legislation.
  • Support payroll audits and reporting requirements.
  • Administer group benefits and pension programs (enrollments, changes, terminations).
  • Act as a liaison with benefits providers (Desjardins).
  • Coordinate payroll deductions and reconcile benefits billing.
  • Support annual renewals, plan updates, and communications.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and coverage.
  • Provide payroll and benefits reporting and insights.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting related to payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll records within HRIS (ADP).
  • Support continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
