About The Position

We’re seeking a Payroll Financial Analyst – Payroll & Plant Operations to support payroll administration, financial reporting, operational analysis, and plant controls at our San Jose facility. In this role, you will partner closely with Operations, HR, Production, and Plant Leadership to ensure payroll accuracy, financial integrity, labor visibility, and effective day‑to‑day operational support. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, supporting decision‑making, and providing accurate, timely insights that drive plant performance. This role blends payroll ownership with manufacturing finance responsibilities, including workforce cost analysis, forecasting, month‑end close, inventory controls, and operational reporting. You will lead key processes such as payroll execution, labor analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact financial and operational outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with payroll and some financial data processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Data analysis capabilities
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Process and validate payroll for hourly and salaried employees, maintain attendance and timekeeping records, support vacation tracking, and partner with HR and Operations to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Review, track, and monitor pension and healthcare payments, ensuring timely processing, proper documentation, and follow-up on discrepancies as needed.
  • Analyze labor utilization, overtime, attendance trends, and operational variances to support plant performance and workforce planning.
  • Assist with accruals, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting activities to support accurate month-end close processes.
  • Support production reporting, labor and material tracking, and operational data analysis to provide visibility into plant performance and key drivers.
  • Assist with spending analysis, forecasting activities, and budget tracking to support financial planning and operational decision-making.
