About The Position

As a Payroll Coordinator, the role involves supporting the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for employees across the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with appropriate payroll-related experience
  • Minimum of four years of payroll experience processing payroll for a mid-sized organization (300–800 employees)
  • Experience with payroll software
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Proficiency with 10-key by touch and typing at 40 wpm
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems and reconciliation processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

Nice To Haves

  • UKG payroll experience preferred
  • Ability or willingness to obtain FPC certification within the first year of employment (if not already obtained)

Responsibilities

  • Support accurate and timely payroll processing, performing all processes as backup to the payroll manager as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and detailed records of communications and adjustments
  • Assist with payroll audits and reconciliations
  • Prepare various financial accounting and HR reports as scheduled and upon request
  • Fulfill external requests for verifications of employment
  • Update payroll calendars, pay policy changes, the department’s resources made available to employees
  • Stay current on Federal payroll regulations and labor laws as well as in the local municipalities where our employees serve
  • Contribute to year end requirements, including W-2 maintenance and company tax reporting
  • Provide supervisors’ and employees’ payroll inquiries with accurate and timely responses
  • Complete all required training courses as listed in Relias Learning (both online training and face-to-face training) within required timelines
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee.
