About The Position

Consolidated Employer Services (CES) is a fast-growing ASO organization based in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Client Specialist to join our Payroll Department. This is an on-site, client-facing payroll position supporting multiple employers and ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing. The Payroll Client Specialist is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, payroll reporting, and ongoing client support. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in payroll systems within an ASO environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of payroll experience (PEO or ASO experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and payroll processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience handling multiple clients and payroll schedules
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the ASO industry preferred
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Experience working with payroll compliance and reporting

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate payroll data and records
• Run payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with clients via email and phone regarding payroll inquiries
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors on payroll issues
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention
• Follow payroll procedures, policies, and compliance standards
• Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
