The payroll clerk will oversee the daily administration of payroll activities.

Requirements

2-4 years’ experience in payroll.
Experience in budget development and management.
Payroll experience preferably in a manufacturing and operations environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Fluent Computer skills.
Practical /pragmatic approach to problem solving & timely solution execution; Manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong collaboration skills to get things done within a matrix organization;
Excellent networking skill to build internal and external networks;
Excellent organization skills to set priorities.

Nice To Haves

Paycom experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish/ English preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares pay by verifying time records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing quarterly incentive bonuses.
Keeps track of pay periods, hourly wages, overtime, sick days and vacation days of employees
Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information, 401k deductions and direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments.
Fulfills wage garnishment requirements; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings;
Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid time not worked, status and pay; calculating vacation earned.
Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
