About The Position

Bella Notte Restaurant Group is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Payroll Clerk / Administrative Assistant to support daily payroll processing and administrative operations for our locally owned, growing restaurant group. This part-time position plays a key role in ensuring accurate employee recordkeeping, timely payroll submissions, and professional office support. The Payroll Clerk / Administrative Assistant assists with biweekly payroll processing, maintaining confidential employee records, and supporting administrative and HR functions across the organization. This role requires strong organization, accuracy, communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior payroll or administrative office experience strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and basic accounting principles preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to work on-site at the Support Office during standard weekday business hours
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Occasional bending and lifting up to 20 lbs for filing and administrative needs

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Experience with payroll/timekeeping systems such as Toast, ADP, or similar preferred
  • Familiarity with Restaurant365 or other accounting/back-office platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with biweekly payroll preparation and processing
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee files to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Process employee status changes including new hire setup, terminations, position or wage changes
  • Audit timekeeping reports for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies
  • Support payroll-related reporting and data entry tasks
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, scanning, data entry, and document organization
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating new hire onboarding and orientations
  • Maintain organized digital and physical record-keeping systems
  • Support benefits enrollment communication and follow-up
  • Assist with restaurant-level communications and office supply management
  • Professionally greet and support employees visiting the support office
  • Respond to basic team member payroll and timekeeping questions
  • Communicate with restaurant leadership regarding schedule and timecard accuracy
  • Assist with internal audits of payroll data and employee records for compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
