About The Position

AB Spectrum is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR & Payroll leader to own employee-related operations from hire to exit. This critical role ensures staff are paid accurately and on time, benefits are seamlessly administered, and employee data remains compliant. The position acts as a vital bridge between HR and Finance, requiring a blend of traditional HR operations and clinical workflow management, partnering closely with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Clinical teams to tie clinical documentation directly to payroll. The role involves executing full-cycle payroll processing, managing PTO tracking, conducting payroll audits, reconciling client hours with clinical documentation, managing onboarding and offboarding, administering benefits, and maintaining employee records for compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR operations, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or Applied Behavioral Services (ABS) workflows, specifically the relationship between session notes (SOAP notes), billable hours, and payroll.
  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for auditing and reconciling complex datasets.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills to act as a liaison between Finance, Clinical, and HR teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR/Practice Management software (e.g., CentralReach) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle payroll processing, including standard hours, bonuses, reimbursements, and complex payroll corrections.
  • Manage comprehensive PTO tracking and enforce time-off policies.
  • Conduct rigorous payroll audits and reporting, ensuring alignment between timesheets and practice management systems.
  • Partner with RCM leadership to reconcile client hours, SOAP notes, billed hours, and paid hours.
  • Work with Clinical and Operations teams to verify timesheet accuracy, staffing hours, and billable alignment prior to payroll execution.
  • Manage final approval workflows in collaboration with Clinic Administrators and People Operations leadership.
  • Execute all onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Manage benefits enrollment, process deductions accurately, and act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits support and inquiries.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal company policies.
