About The Position

· Lead the payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all International, and US federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations. · Serve as the subject matter expert for compliance, including monitoring legislative changes and implementing necessary updates. · Coordinate with Benefits team to administer and audit payroll-related benefit deductions and act as the payroll lead on common improvement initiatives (e.g. Leave of absence tracking) · Stay current on payroll-related legislation and lead compliance initiatives. · Manage payroll audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors. · Assist with annual US Workers Compensation insurance audit and renewal. · Maintain robust documentation of payroll policies, processes and internal controls. · Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. · Partner with systems team to test and approve configuration changes as needed. · Maintain relationships with payroll vendors (e.g., Paylocity). · Oversee, review and approve bonus runs, year-end submissions of annual and quarterly filings (e.g., W2s, W3s, 940s, 941s, amendments and state quarterly filings). · Act as an escalation point for complex payroll inquiries, employee issues, or compliance matters. · Lead new benefit enrollments, changes, additions, and terminations. · Support onboarding and recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, onboarding materials, and assisting with new hire orientation. · Participate/lead in benefits-related projects, including wellness seminars, health fairs, and employee communications (flyers, emails, etc.). · Responsible for updating enrollment materials, benefit communications, and employee benefit folders. · Provide support to employees regarding benefits questions, claim issues (via phone, email, or in person.) · Track carrier utilization and preparing basic reports (Commuter, Vision, FSA, etc.). · Provide support for benefits programs, including Leaves of Absence, FMLA, disability claims, and related paperwork. · Management of workers’ compensation claims, including initial filing and follow-up. · Lead/manage/assist with Ad hoc special projects.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office Suite, HRIS systems (e.g., ADP) skills required
