About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support end-to-end payroll operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role involves processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and data integrity. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations including garnishments, taxes, and year-end processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) – intermediate to advanced level
  • Experience with payroll/HR systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in retro pay calculations
  • High attention to detail with strong data accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with HR, finance, and employees

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, ADP payroll/HR systems preferred
  • FPC or CPP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on schedule
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits (including 401k)
  • Assist with wage garnishments and payroll-related transfers and reporting
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records within HRIS/payroll systems
  • Reconcile payroll data and support audits, year-end reporting, and tax filings (e.g., W-2s)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries professionally
  • Support leadership and accounting teams with related financial and administrative tasks
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity across systems
