About The Position

Surefox North America Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for the full-cycle administration of payroll and the end-to-end management of benefits and leave programs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provide high-quality support to employees and management. You will be working under the guidance of Human Resources Leadership to provide administrative and support activities for a variety of company sponsored programs with primary duties focusing on the day-to-day administration of all benefit programs including payroll, medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life insurance, disability, 401(k), wellness, as well as leave of absence administration. We are seeking a self-starter with impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail. Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a payroll and/or benefits administration role.
  • Strong understanding of fiscal procedures, tax/wage laws, benefits and leave requirements (FMLA, ADA, ACA).
  • Exceptional multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically with Google Suite and timekeeping/payroll software.
  • Background and Credit Check Review: Required for this position.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources.
  • SHRM-CP or specialized training in Payroll or FMLA/Leave administration.
  • Previous experience in a fast paced environment or military background.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, status changes, tax updates, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposits.
  • Prepare month-end reports, reconcile payroll accounts, and process year-end reporting (W-2, W-2C, 1099-MISCs).
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including sick time, vacation, and other accrued leave.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries regarding deductions, final payments, and accruals.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate open enrollment, New Hire and terminated employee benefit management, qualifying life events, leave management and COBRA management.
  • Assist employees with enrollment in medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, and 401(k) plans.
  • Independently manage leave processes from initial notice to return-to-work, including FMLA, Military Leave, Short-Term Disability, and state-specific leaves.
  • Effective communication with other departments and employees regarding status of employee leave.
  • Manage Reasonable Accommodation (RAP) and Religious Accommodation (RAR) requests, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and acting as a liaison between management and employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of leave laws (FMLA, ADA, ACA) and preserve the confidentiality of all medical documentation.
  • Timely and customer service orientation response to all inquiries from employees and internal departments.
