About The Position

The Payroll Analyst supports the processing of Lurie Children’s payroll, interfacing with various teams within the Human Resources department, and ensures compliance with regulations while coordinating diverse work processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 or more years of relevant payroll experience is required
  • Knowledge of IRS tax rules and regulations a plus.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer relationships by taking ownership of issues and ensuring effective outcomes.
  • Time management skills are required to manage multiple, concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Monitor and adhere to all organizational policies that impact pay.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive data.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field with 2 or more years of relevant payroll experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with processing reports for processing of payroll for all existing exempt and non-exempt staff for both off-cycle and production payroll.
  • Assists with processing payroll inputs and payroll uploads into Workday
  • Research and resolve payroll issues with an emphasis on analytical expertise.
  • Understands business objectives and help prepare, write, and maintain payroll practices and procedures.
  • Assists with preparation and audit of payroll taxes and government reporting, including quarterly, year-end reporting, and Form W-2 processing.
  • Assists with processing Child Support, Garnishments, and Tax Levies including correspondence and administering deductions.
  • Other job functions as assigned.
