About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Payroll Operations Manager in the College of Health Sciences (COHS), the Payroll Analyst coordinates, processes, and performs payroll functions in UCPath and the Time Reporting System (TRS). These responsibilities include UCPath entries, serving as the Department Time Administrator (DTA), processing salary cost transfers (SCT), separations, and various other payroll transactions and adjustments. Creates and pulls reports for analysis and applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve a variety of payroll issues. Works on payroll problems where analysis of situations requires data review of a variety of factors including employee labor distribution records, vacation and sick leave accrual, and overtime. Uses payroll professional concepts. Applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve a variety of payroll issues. Works on payroll problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, procedures, and organization-specific computer application programs

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 2-5 years of experience with BA/BS, or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
