Coordinates all activities for processing routine and ad hoc payroll runs. Prepares periodic reports of earning, taxes, and deductions and bi-weekly reports for requesting departments. Processes garnishments, child support, tax levy, bankruptcy, etc. including employee notifications and appropriate withholding. Reconciles and processes quarterly reports. Reconciles and submits billings for TDA’s. Assists auditors with requested information. Responds to employment verification requests from outside sources. Collects, verifies, and stores organizational payroll data. Reconciles payroll-related general ledger and prepares reports or statements summarizing payroll-related accounts. May interact with third-party payroll or benefit vendors. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. "No" indicates that this position does not involve managing team members. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Three (3) years progressive payroll experience. Required License/Certifications/Registrations none Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or business school. Experience in a hospital environment. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations Industry-recognized professional certifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of Federal and State payroll regulations, laws, procedures. Mathematical and analytical skills. Knowledge of Federal Wage & Hour laws. Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel). Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking. Requirements

  • Three (3) years progressive payroll experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal and State payroll regulations, laws, procedures.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal Wage & Hour laws.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or business school.
  • Experience in a hospital environment.
