Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• or an Associate degree with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Preparation and processing within the payroll accounting transaction cycle.
• Responsible for garnishments, ACA tracking, and check writing.
• Ensures that all agency policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains payroll documentation and performs monthly account reconciliations.
• Reviews bi-weekly payroll reports to verify accuracy, including payroll deductions.
• Assists with completion of month end closing.
• Assists with review of federal and state tax returns and W-2 forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
