About The Position

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Payment Verification Associate to work with their Life Company operations to approve cash disbursement requests for life and annuity policies. Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree or equivalent is required, preferably in Accounting.
  • Experience with life insurance or annuities is a plus.
  • Must be a team player with a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and can prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong initiative and enjoy looking at processes in a creative manner to create efficiencies.
  • Ability to work from the office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
  • Not considering candidates that need any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Not able to sponsor now or in the future, or take over sponsorship of, an employment visa or work authorization for this role.
  • Not considering candidates with OPT status.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, updating, and approving disbursement and withdrawal requests in accordance with departmental service-level agreements and company policy.
  • Voiding and reissuing outstanding disbursement checks as needed.
  • Assisting in the development and testing of systems and processes for the team.
  • Applying and expanding knowledge of life insurance, annuities, and other related financial and administration systems.
