Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Payment Verification Associate to work with their Life Company operations to approve cash disbursement requests for life and annuity policies. Requirements

An Associate’s Degree or equivalent is required, preferably in Accounting.
Experience with life insurance or annuities is a plus.
Must be a team player with a customer service-oriented attitude.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and can prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong initiative and enjoy looking at processes in a creative manner to create efficiencies.
Ability to work from the office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Reviewing, updating, and approving disbursement and withdrawal requests in accordance with departmental service-level agreements and company policy.
Voiding and reissuing outstanding disbursement checks as needed.
Assisting in the development and testing of systems and processes for the team.
Applying and expanding knowledge of life insurance, annuities, and other related financial and administration systems.
