Requirements

2+ years’ experience in Medical Billing and Remittance Posting.

Responsibilities

Post medical insurance payments and patient payments correctly to the practice management system.
Identify payments, write offs, and patient balances on various insurance company EOBs.
Balance payment batches to deposits.
Ability to interpret various explanation of benefits from the insurance companies.
Efficiently and accurately post payments to the appropriate accounts.
Identify payment discrepancies and payer trends.
Additional duties as assigned.
Accurately posting payments, adjustments and denials from insurance carriers via electronic and paper payment files in addition to appropriate posting of patient payments.
